DAY 01 : Air Port – Negombo
On arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be warmly greeted by your very own chauffeur who will transfer you to the historically important fishing village, Negombo. Spend the day at leisure relaxing at the hotel or do some sightseeing in Negombo. You may visit a fish market and the Dutch canal.Negombo is the fifth largest city in the country after the capital Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna and Galle, and it is the second largest city in the Western province after Colombo.
DAY 02 : Seegiriya – Habarana
After breakfast leave for Habarana. On the way you can visit to Sigiriya. Sigiriya lion rock is an ancient fortress and ruins of a palace. The Sigiriya was built during the reign of King Kashyapa (AD 477 â€“ 495). We climb 950 steps and can see famous ancient paintings of Sigiriya Ladies. It is famous as a world heritage site. After that you can do an elephant or Bull Cart Safari in the jungle. Overnight stay in Habarana.
DAY 03 : Habarana – Polonnaruwa
After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa. Polonnaruwa is the second capital of Sri Lanka during Sinhala civilization (10-12th century BC). It was a Buddhist city. The kings built ambitious dams and irrigation system. You can enjoy the Ancient city. After that we proceed to Minneriya national park to watch Elephants and other animals. It is not large but we can watch a lot of elephant nearby the jeep. Overnight stay in Habarana.The second most ancient of Sri Lanka’s kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated Chola invaders in 1070 to reunite the country once more under a local leader.
DAY 04 : Habarana – Dambulla – Kandy
After breakfast leave for Knady. Today you will arrive in spiritual Kandy, surrounded by greenery and the great Mahaweli River. Kandy is also well known as the centre of Buddhism. At your convenience, become acquainted with the city of Kandy, pay your respects to the Temple of the Tooth Relic and late evening, view a cultural dance performance. On the way you can visit Dambulla Cave temple and Spice Garden in Mathale. Dambulla is impressive cave temple dating back to 1st century BC. It is also world heritage. The complex of 5 caves with over 2000m 2 of painted walls and ceilings, it is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 Lord Buddha statues.
DAY 05 : Kandy – Pinnawala – Air Port
After breakfast proceed to Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya. Botanical Garden is renowned for collection of a variety of beautiful colorful orchids. It includes more than 300 varieties of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. After that leave for the Airport. On the way Visit to the Pinnawala Elephant orphanage which was established to protect abandoned or orphaned elephants. you can see elephants roaming freely around the sanctuary area.
